Arrive at building 600/ Apprentice School Athletic field (4215 Marshall Ave. Newport News ) at 1:45 am. The bus will leave promptly at 2 am and will not wait for those who are late.
The boat will load at 5:30 and will leave promptly at 6 am.
The boat will go about 35 miles offshore. This is not a trip for those who get seasick easily. Please do not book your spot if you feel you may get sick and not fish. For those who may need it in case of sea sickness please bring yourself some motion sickness medicine and take it before getting on the boat. Also, this is not a preferred trip for children under the age of 12.
In case of any injuries/ allergies/ sicknesses, the coast guard will be called and will arrive faster than it would take for the boat to return to the dock.
The boat will arrive back at the dock at 4 pm, we will stay at the dock for about an hour to allow those who would like their fish cleaned to do so. (fish cleaning normally costs $1 per pound of fish, please bring cash) Please also bring cash to tip the mates for their help on the boat with bait, rigging rods, unhooking fish, untangling lines, etc.
Things to bring with you: Cooler, breakfast & Lunch & drinks, sunscreen, medicines you may need, hat, sunglasses, and cash. We will make one stop on the way back for those to pick up dinner/snacks if wanted & for a restroom break.
Each person must sign a release of liability form from the Apprentice School before loading onto the bus.
